Description
Michele Luciano Straniero is a central and strategic figure in late 20th-century research and culture, far beyond what is already known. His initiatives, productions and collaborations are countless, but there is also a private, more intimate and poetic side to him, which this volume aims to present. Unpublished texts are given voice here thanks to the effective work of Michele Gazich and Federico Sirianni (and the behind-the-scenes direction of his grandson Giovanni Straniero), revealing another side of the Turin intellectual. Eight texts and two songs inspired by him (his life and works) compose a mosaic of profound humanity and commitment, faithful and respectful. Here, however, you will not find a Michele L. Straniero resurrected for bookworms or song philologists. Here, the music and lyrics shine brightly, powerful, bold, unforgiving and urgent. Here, there is no time for circumlocutions, because “tomorrow we live and die”.
