Description
In 1988, Euripides’ ‘The Trojan Women’ burst onto the scene, directed by Thierry Salmon, considered at the time to be the most promising young talent on the European theatre scene.
A show, but perhaps it would be better to call it ‘an experience’, extraordinary and unrepeatable. It was named best show of the year, and Giovanna Marini also won an award for her music, which was inspired by the sound of the original text in ancient Greek. The sound design was minimalist, with a few rough percussion instruments and, above all, songs that interrupted the action and composed choreographic elements, while the chorus restored the sacredness of the gesture typical of Greek tragedy.
