Due dischi leggendari del 1969 e del 1972, da allora mai ristampati, vedono nuovamente la luce in un’edizione critica con introduzioni e note di Alessio Lega. Negli anni fra il 1968 e il 1972 Ivan Della Mea – già considerato la figura di maggior livello della Canzone Politica – abbandona in seguito a una profonda crisi il Nuovo Canzoniere Italiano e incide due vinili con l’etichetta Zodiaco.
In particolare il primo Il rosso è diventato giallo è destinato a fare storia: nelle ballate di Venne Maggio le inquietudini personali e collettive di tutta una generazione si rispecchiano.
Si tratta del romanzo di formazione poetica del popolo delle barricate, l’ultimo ad aver creduto nella possibilità di cambiare se stesso e il mondo, anche con le canzoni.
Il secondo disco La balorda fotografa una fase più interlocutoria, dove l’ironia diventa arma di denuncia negli anni della strategia della tensione.
In appendice un documento inedito live registrato nel 1974 in una fabbrica occupata.
